Chord adds Ethernet to Award-Winning HDMI

Uncategorized By Sep 14, 2010

The Chord Company has added Ethernet capability plus an optimised audio return connection to its multi-award winning SuperShield HDMI cable. It will come as no surprise that the all new cable is now called: the Chord SuperShield High Speed HDMI cable with Ethernet.

Chord SuperShield High Speed HDMI cable with Ethernet is available in 1, 2 and 3-metre lengths.

Chord has also taken the opportunity to improve the cable’s performance. The new gold-plated plug is a die-cast moulding, engineered for a more secure connection. All signal conductors are now 26 AWG silver-plated copper for maximum conductivity.

Dual layer high-frequency effective internal signal shielding remains, as does the low-loss gas-foamed polyethylene insulation, as Chord believe that both are crucial and an integral part of the original performance.

The SuperShield supports all HDMI audio formats and of course 1080p 3D video.

For those that like cable shorthand, the SuperShield is HDMI 1.4 HDCP, AGC, ARC and CEC.
