Chord Company Introduces the Chord VEE Plug

Posted on February 25, 2011 by admin

Inspired by the hand-turned acrylic plugs fitted to the high-end Sarum, Signature and Indigo interconnects, the new VEE Plug delivers demonstrable improvements in performance to all of the Chord interconnects now supplied as standard with the VEE plug.

The new Chord VEE (Vibration Eliminating Enclosure) plug is high-pressure precision injection-moulded from ABS plastic chosen for its excellent vibration damping properties. Combined with gold- or silver-plated low-mass connectors insulated with Teflon® the VEE plug appears to be simple but it includes years of Chord’s accumulated knowledge .

Assembly by Chord’s highly trained operators is simple but effective with a non-compression strain relief system that maintains constant impedance along the cable’s length.

Chord’s new VEE plugs are now fitted to:

CrimsonPlus

CobraPlus

ChameleonPlus

Chorus 2

Cadenza

iChord

Codac Digital

Prodac Pro Digital

Alan Gibb, Chord’s Managing Director commented, “Nigel (Finn – Techncal Director) has been working for a long time to develop and fine tune a plug that brings such demonstrable improvements. We are surprised and very pleased at the level of improvements in both the hi-fidelity and musicality aspects of the performance.”
